Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Beer

More Than BBQ, Bands and Brews – Loveland Community Festival Designed to Give Back to Community Nonprofits

(I received this press release from Nicole Yost of Fyn Public Relations)

LOVELAND, Colo. – Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews, slated for July 13 & 14 in downtown Loveland and presented by McKee Medical Center, is not only a community festival for all to enjoy, it also acts as a fundraiser for two local nonprofits. House of Neighborly Service (HNS) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) will receive a portion of all sponsorships and sales from the festival planned and hosted by Engaging Loveland and Loveland’s Sertoma Club, which are both nonprofit organizations themselves.

“John D. Rockefeller Jr. said, ‘Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.’ We here at Engaging Loveland and Loveland Sertoma couldn’t agree more,” said Kristine Koschke, executive director of Engaging Loveland. “It is part of our mission to enhance the well-being of our community.”

HNS provides a safety net for Loveland residents by providing for basic needs:  food, clothing, utility, Rx, transportation assistance, shelter for families and individuals, educational opportunities and case management. To assist the cause even further, Platinum Sponsor Country Financial, is hosting its own canned food drive at each of their Loveland locations to support HNS. Residents may bring in one canned food item to be traded for one event token (limited one trade per visit) to be used for food and drink purchase at the festival.

HNS Executive Director, Glorie Magrum said, “Fifty one years of Service and Community support, such as this great event, is why HNS is able to provide a strong safety net for families in crises in Loveland.“
