Loveland Sugar Mill has a suite deal

Sugar MillLoveland  businesses seem to be restless.  In the past week or so, I have seen lots of them moving/relocating.  That is a good thing.  For the most part, they are moving or expanding because business is good.

Sugar Mill Productions in downtown Loveland is in this situation.   They used to be know as a photography studio and salon.  They are no longer a salon.  And they are moving from an upstairs suite to a downstairs one near the corner of Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Being on the street level, and a few doors south of the Lincoln  Gallery and other art outlets should be to their advantage.

The new space is not necessarily that much bigger than they had before but it does have a larger room for doing photo shoots.  (Currently, it’s not as pink as the old studio was. )

Look for a grand re-opening in March.

Loveland Dance Academy

According to the Loveland Commercial Facebook page, Loveland Dance Academy has a new home.   They have purchased the property at 440 N. Lincoln in downtown Loveland.

The new site is the old site for my buddy Norm Toman’s Art of the Rockies gallery and frame shop.

Look for a grand opening of the new Loveland Dance Academy next month.

Loveland Pour House — more changes

Loveland restaurants are a good source of blog posts for BobsHeartbeats.com

Last week, I posted about new ownership at the Pour House in downtown Loveland. (I still am politicing to call it DoLo)

Pour House chef of three yesrs, Chris Kline, has purchased the business from the previous owner(s).  Kline said he will be promoting his souse chef, so he can take over the management of the local bar and restaurant.

Chris Kline wants to revamp the menu.  Here is a tentative version of what will be available when you come to the Pour House a 124 East Fourth Street.

Loveland now coworks

Loveland has its very own coworking location.  Coworking has become more popular as people strike out on their own.  This includes telecomuters, entrepreneurs, independent contractors, the self-employed and business men and women on the go.

Coworking usually involves a shared working environment with each person working independently. The concept has led to a social gathering of a people  who normally don’t see others during their workday.  Many feel their is a synergy that can happen from working with talented people in the same space.

Fort Collins has had a coworking facility for quite some time now.  Recently, one opened in Loveland.  It is located in downtown Loveland in the old train depot building.

The location is called the Armory, and has a great wall of windows to give it a bright and open feeling.  The day I visited, three people were siitting at desks with their laptops.  An adjacent office has a conference room that coworkers can schedule if they need to meet with others.

The space also has an oversized telephone booth, so calls can be made without disturbing other coworkers.

For more information (rates, etc.) on the Armory coworking space is available here.
