Loveland Stained Glass shattered

Loveland Stained Glass, located at 116 W. 4th Street is going away.  The sign on the door says their last day will be 2/26.

I don’t remember when Loveland Stained Glass opened, but it has been in operation for many years.  They are a niche market, but not many stores are doing what they do as far as stained glass supplies.

I guess all you lead heads and copper foil addicts will have to go online for your supplies.

Baja Fish in Loveland

Loveland’s Baja Fish Company is no more.

A sign in the window of the the Baja Fish Company and Mexican Restaurant at 119 E. Fourth in Loveland tells the story.  Signed by Mike Severance, it says the fresh fish restaurant is closing because they cannot keep up with expenses and payroll.

If my old memory serves me, they did not quite make it to the one year anniversary.  I know many Lovelanders who will be greatly saddened by this news.

Overall, it is not a good thing for historic Fourth Street in Loveland to loose another restaurant.

Thanks to one of my “beeps” Jennifer Peters for a heads-up on this one.  What do YOU know that should be  in  www.bobsheartbeats.com?

Any suggestions for what should replace it?

Loveland Consignment shop gone

Madison Avenue Consignment is no more.   This happened some weeks ago, but one of regular contributor of ideas Brad Shannon of Shannon Marcomm reminded me.

The consignment shop started on Madison Avenue north of 1st Street.  At some point, they moved to South Lincoln about where the one-way section starts.   See my prior post on how not to name a company.

Let’s hear some reports of GOOD NEWS!

Loveland losing Valley Block?

Valley Block? That is the questions.   One of my great Loveland “beeps” thinks they are closing or have closed.  That would be amazing since  Valley Block has been an mainstay in Loveland for so many years.  (Actually, it may be outside of Loveland since it is east on Hiway 402 past the Interstate.)

I don’t like to have rumors as blog posts but this person was reasonably sure.   A call this morning to the phone number for Valley Block says it is no longer in service.  Hmmmmm.

The Valley Block website still works.

Do YOU know anything about this?

Bobservation — Daisy Dukes On or off

Daisy Dukes bar/nightclub at 5400 N. Garfield in Loveland looks vacant.

I have been by this bar a couple of time recently.   Last night, when returning from a writing class at Northern Colorado Writers’ Studio in Fort Collins, it looked dark there.

The big sign on the front of the building says “Estate Sale  Oct. 15-16.”

Anyone know the scoop?
