Loveland’s Lightning Hybrids in the news
Lightning Hybrids in Loveland 319 Cleveland Ave, sent me the email press release. Exciting news for a forward-thinking Loveland company.
I have been to the Navy Pier in Chicago, and wish I was there now. September would be a great time to be in Chitown.
Anyway, here is the press release from Lightning Hybrids:
World’s First Hydraulic Hybrid Shuttle Bus
To Provide Exclusive Ride Along at BusCon
Take a test drive in the most cost effective shuttle bus at BusCon on the
Navy Pier in Chicago on September 11 and 12, 2012.
Loveland, Colorado. Lightning Hybrids is proud to host the only Ride Along at this year’s BusCon in a 23-passenger Ford F-450 shuttle bus from Davey Coach. This bus, the first hydraulic hybrid shuttle bus on the road, gets up to 40% better fuel economy than a non-hybrid because it regenerates braking energy — and it has more power for acceleration and stopping. The hydraulic hybrid retrofit costs $19,995 and provides a 2 to 3 year payback for stop-and-go drive cycles based on fuel and brake savings.
Lightning Hybrids has partnered with Davey Coach Sales of Sedalia, Colorado, to sell the retrofitted shuttle buses.
