Loveland Right or Left?
Ok, I bet you thought this post would be about politics. WRONG.
It is about sign on the street in a construction area in Loveland.
If you have driven at all around Loveland, you can’t help but notice there are a few “cone zone” and detours. The largest one being the ongoing work at Madison Ave. and Eisenhower Blvd. While avoid this the other day to go out to Centerra, I found that Boise Ave. north of the McKee Medical Center (did you ever notice that we don’t have hospitals any more? ) is closed north northbound right where you enter MMC parking lot.
BUT, that is not what I am writing about today. I drive on 29th Street many days. Just east of Loveland High School, there is some kind of work being done. Traveling east, you will encounter a sign at about Logan Ave. It says RIGHT LANE CLOSED. Ok. The problem is that the LEFT lane is the one closed. Do not merge left to try to get to the “open” lane.
If you go through the same area driving west, the sign also says RIGHT LANE CLOSED. That one is correct. Maybe the city only has one type of sign.
I encountered this confusion for the first time yesterday. I don’t know how long the sign has been up. It was still there today.
Anyone know if this area of 29th will be done before the close off the nearby area of 29th for the Sculpture shows and art/craft fair?
Leave your comments so you don’t feel RIGHT, errr, LEFT out.

people are stupid
There was a group of construction guys working on Boyd Lake Road this summer. I believe they could have won “The Most Stupid Construction Crew in the World” award. In fact, as the Mayor of HeidiTown, I’d like to give it to them.
They didn’t know how to direct traffic, couldn’t set signs up right and one day had cars back onto 34!! It was ridiculous. I meant to call the County and complain but never got around to it. So I’ll just bitch about it here. LOL!
