(I received this press release from Nicole Yost of Fyn Public Relations)
LOVELAND, Colo. – Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews, slated for July 13 & 14 in downtown Loveland and presented by McKee Medical Center, is not only a community festival for all to enjoy, it also acts as a fundraiser for two local nonprofits. House of Neighborly Service (HNS) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) will receive a portion of all sponsorships and sales from the festival planned and hosted by Engaging Loveland and Loveland’s Sertoma Club, which are both nonprofit organizations themselves.
“John D. Rockefeller Jr. said, ‘Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.’ We here at Engaging Loveland and Loveland Sertoma couldn’t agree more,” said Kristine Koschke, executive director of Engaging Loveland. “It is part of our mission to enhance the well-being of our community.”
HNS provides a safety net for Loveland residents by providing for basic needs: food, clothing, utility, Rx, transportation assistance, shelter for families and individuals, educational opportunities and case management. To assist the cause even further, Platinum Sponsor Country Financial, is hosting its own canned food drive at each of their Loveland locations to support HNS. Residents may bring in one canned food item to be traded for one event token (limited one trade per visit) to be used for food and drink purchase at the festival.
HNS Executive Director, Glorie Magrum said, “Fifty one years of Service and Community support, such as this great event, is why HNS is able to provide a strong safety net for families in crises in Loveland.“
“It is very important for us to give back to the communities that we live and serve in,” said Brian Lacey, agency manager for Country Financial.
The other event beneficiary, BGCLC, opens its door to great futures for Loveland kids and teens. They are open every day after school, all day during the summer and all school breaks, giving kids opportunities to excel in programs that include education, the arts, sports, character & leadership and healthy lifestyles.
“Events like Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews not only raise awareness about the Boys & Girls Club, but provide vital financial support to keep our doors open and programs running,” said Kathi Wright, executive director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County.
A special thanks is in order for the generosity of event donors such as presenting sponsor, McKee Medical Center; platinum sponsor, Country Financial; gold sponsors Bank of Colorado, Clear Channel Radio, City of Loveland, Mueller & Associates, CPA, and the other wonderful sponsors participating in this year’s event. Visitors and residents alike are encouraged to celebrate summer the American way – with BBQ, bands and brews all the while helping the community.
