I am not making this up

Sorry for the pun, but the Cosmetics Company Store at the is about to close.  They are, for another week or so, located in the original outlet area.  The store is right next to the SAS shoe store that seems to be one of the few remaining businesses out there.  When I asked why the store was closing, I was told it was because they cannot agree on a new long-term lease.

I remember when the original factory outlet stores opened in Loveland. Not only were there stores but also a food court and other amenities.  Everyone was so excited.  We would go to Silverthorne before that.  We even went to the outlet stores in Castle Rock.

My how time flies. Now the original section is what I recently termed a ghost town.  Long stretches of vacant windows and no food court.  What happened?

The Cosmetic Store is for another week and a half, located next to the SAS shoe store that is one of the few stores that is still in business at the mall. I hope Steve can hang on to that store.  With all the vacancies, it seems like the powers that be could have worked out a deal to keep the busyness there.  If it weren’t for the kids clothing stores where we get some items for the our two  grandchildren, I would have no need to enter that area at all.

It look more empty now that Colorado Christian College has moved to its new location across the highway.

Business closings in Loveland are a sad thing to report but  I thank to Penne Patton, one of my “beeps” for the tip)
