Mastermind group on Loveland

Here’s some info on a new mastermind group sent to me by my buddy, and one of bobsheartbeats “beeps” Sean McCarthy.   Looks interesting, and I have signed up.

You’ve heard the expression “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” This concept proves itself with the exponential power within the context of the mastermind group.

The Loveland Chamber and Commerce is now offering this valuable business forum to its membership as part of their investor services.  Sean Mc Carthy, the founder of Colorado Coaching Company and facilitator of the new Chamber sponsored mastermind groups, describes the groups as a mix of peer advisory, accountability, and mentoring.

There is synergy of energy, commitment, and excitement that participants bring to a Mastermind Group. Participants often raise the bar by challenging & encouraging each other to create and implement goals, brainstorm ideas, offer new perspectives and support each other. Too often we get lost in our own daily tasks and miss the forest through all the trees. Regular participation in a mastermind group will help you keep a healthy perspective and remain focused on your goals and long term plans.

The idea of a mastermind was first communicated in Napoleon Hill’s timeless classic, Think and Grow Rich. Hill wrote, “No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.”

By teaming up with people that are outside of your immediate network you are able to gain new insights and see things you couldn’t otherwise see. These folks will have different experiences than you, and can offer new ways to handle issues that come up, and can help you by asking you great questions that help you discover the answers to get through those times you are stuck and in need of a breakthrough. And even more powerful is being that catalyst for growth for someone else. By sharing your experiences to benefit someone else’s business is one of the most empowering pieces of the mastermind experience.

The Chamber sponsored groups will meet regularly twice each month.  For the next two months these meetings will be open to any business person that wishes to preview this new service being offered.  For details and to RSVP contact Jim Worthen at 667-6311. Please don’t delay only 10 participants allowed per meeting.

Loveland Museum has Jim Digby show

I have known Jim for many years, and I admire him as a person and as a highly skilled and creative photographer.

Kodak vs. HP Tear it down?

The Coloradoan had an artice about the fact that Kodak in Windsor is planning to tear down four of its unused building in the Spring of 2011.

Buildings C11, C13, C16 and C60 are the ones involved.  They cover about 1 million square feet.

Kodak ried to sell off  11, 13 and 16 but there did not seem to be any interested buyers. The land that all four buildings occuped will be put up for sale.

So, some of my “beeps” are asking, “Why is a Loveland blog talking about this?” Good question.

When I read this article in the Coloradoan, the Loveland Hewlett-Packard site.  It breaks my heart to see all those empty buildings every time I pass by there.  (The Greeley site of HP is still empty too, I believe.)

In my humble opinion, no one is going to ever fill the compete set of buildings at tle Loveland Hewlett-Packard/Agilent/whoever else the had in there.  Soooo, what should be done?

Loveland knows parking

Funny signs now seem to find me.  I was walking to a meeting in downtown Loveland (DOLO, as I like to call it) and this sign was near where I parked.  I know the parking or perceived lack of it in Loveland is an ongoing topic, so I had to share this with my fellow Lovelanders.

Anyone know what it is located?

Loveland–Who is George?

Abo’s Pizza in Loveland’s Palmer Gardens shopping center closed.  It has been empty but now has a sign announcing George’s Pizza and Gyro

I am researching Loveland info, but so far I can’t find out anything about who is George’s Pizza or why they are coming to Loveland.
