Blackout at the Black Cup

Loveland caffeine addicts or just lovers of coffee should be sad. One of the few coffee drive-thru establishments in Loveland is no longer. (At least for now)

The Black Cup that was located at 5400 North Garfield has closed. Priscilla Holdeman say the shop has been at this location for eight years.   They closed down Oct. 14.  They were west of town for four more years before that.

The Black Cup shared space with Phaze nightclub  (and the White Buffalo before that) using a small (250 sq. feet) in one corner of the building. Holdeman says this was not an ideal setup.  The coffee shop owners/employees had to go through the nightclub to get to their spot in the building. Also, the two businesses had to share utilities too.   This is not the best setup in any situation, and can lead to conflict.

The Black Cup wants to reopen.  Priscilla says the ideal location would be on the west side of Loveland, with north being a choice too. She would like to have a drive-thru again.  Having inside seating would be an option too.

So, she needs your HELP!  Do any of my “beeps” or “beepettes” know of a suitble location for the Black Cup to start up again?
